Trick Photography Book REVIEW


Hello guys! Firstly I would like to thank you for spending your time to read my personal review about Evan Sharboneau's Trick Photography and Special Effects Book : Second Edition . I can not believe that I will write this review since I am a little bit skeptical about this book before. For your information, this review has been wrote after I have done reading the book and practice them into my daily photography shoot session. 

I am still amazed how this book have improved my photography tricks and skills, and I hope the other photographer will gain the same benefits as I do. Now, enough with my blabbering, here is a little introduction about the book.

What is this book all about?
This book contain almost 300 pages and written by Evan Sharboneau himself. The book will guide anybody, even without past experience about photography, to take better photographs. The lessons in this book are consist of three modules that are very well-explained. 

Before the readers start the modules, the writer will explain the basic preliminary tools that the readers will need to practice the lessons such as Camera, Lenses, Tripods and Adobe Photoshop.

In Module One, the reader will be expose to Long Exposure Effects and Light Painting. The reader will be guided on how to adjust camera settings to make it suitable for taking light painting photos. Still in this module, the author will show step-by-step on how to prepare light props using LED, Glow Sticks and even Fire!

For the Module Two, the author will be focusing on Trick Photography and Special Effects. In this module, Evan Sharboneau reveals his ultimate tricks of In-Camera Illusion that make the photo seems like has been manipulate by Photoshop, but it is not. Some examples of In-Camera Illusion that will be reveal in this module are Forced Perspective, Unscrewed Light Bulb Trick, Reflections in Animals Eyes and a lot more.

The last module which is Module Three, the reader will be read about Photoshop Projects, where the confusing function of Layer Masks and Blending Modes explained clearly by the author. After completing this module, the reader will be able to make his/her own Multiplicity Photography, Levitation Photography, The Invincible Man Photography and many more.

My Final Personal Thought
The only weakness that I found in this package is that the videos cannot be accessible when I do not have an internet connection. Overall, I am very satisfied with what I get from this book. It not only improved my photography skills but it guides me to become more creative when planning photography session. I really recommend the photographers to read the book, since it will help you to become a better photographer in the future.
